Disc Golfer Magazine Says Goodbye After Fall 2025 Release

Disc Golfer Magazine will be no more after the Fall 2025 release. The Disc Golfer was feature of being a member of the PDGA. Upon any renewal of membership to the PDGA which keeps track of stats, and allows for entry into disc golf events; another perk was the magazine.

This magazine upon it’s last release coming in the Fall of 2025 marks it’s 67th and final entry. The Disc Golfer magazine would release during the Pro Disc Golf Season recently offering an issue every quarter.

The magazine itself would contain ads for many products related to disc golf as well as opinion pieces, recaps of elite an major events and even provide a couple puzzles that are disc golf related here and there.

Personally I always liked receiving this every quarter of the season. It gave me a wider picture of everything going on as a whole in the disc golf world.

The sighting for the discontinuation of the magazine was due to a “consistent loss in revenue at $160,000 in the last year alone” according to the PDGA.

With this loss the PDGA as a governing body of Disc Golf Memberships decided that the loss was not worth the output of the magazine and are going to direct the money or invest in other areas that show further growth for the sport.

It’s a sad step away from what we got in our memberships for years, but I hope that the move away from this benefit of the membership can be better well spent somewhere else instead of a net loss on the overall benefit of being a PDGA member.
